The committee and traders would like to thank our Chairman Adrian Mutti for his enthusiasm and hard work in helping establish this wonderful association, it has been a pleasure working with him and he will be greatly missed. We all wish him every happiness with his new adventure in Spain.
   
 

  
Parking

We’ve learned that Harrow Council are considering the introduction of significant enhancements to  parking restrictions here in Hatch End. Hatch End is one of only two areas in the borough where parking is still Free. Currently under review  is the installation of  pay and display in the Free Car Park in Grimsdyke Road and in the service road on the Broadway. This in turn will lead to restrictions in the side roads to tackle “displacement parking” and these are likely to be in the form or more double yellow lines, controlled parking zones and residents only parking bays.

In the near future Harrow will announce a date for what’s called a “Stakeholders Meeting” to deliver their considerations, the H.E.T.A. and others will be invited to this and we’ll be taking this information to all members and residents.

  Christmas Lighting

 

The Hatch End Trade Association, installed the first Christmas Tree in Hatch End Broadway in December 2009. Since then with funding raised from advertising and with the generous assistance from the Hatch End Community Association and the Hatch End Residents Association we were able to have a superior display with street lamp LED lighting, LET solar lighting in the trees and a permanent position has been created for the Christmas tree for future years.

 
  Promotions & Publicity

Hatch End Voucher  -  In the new year we’ll be running a series of promotions where you the customer can win over £50 to spend in any outlet displaying the H.E.T.A. symbol. Full details of this will be published in the Events column soon  so keep an eye out. 

Italian Wine Tasting Charity Fundraiser  - We’re busy recruiting  a few celebrities to come along and help launch our charity fundraiser event. This is scheduled to take place in the early new  year and will be held locally here in Hatch End. Full details will be published in the Events Column so check regularly.

What’s on My Doorstep?  -  No, not a chat show but the name of the new mailshot that many of you will soon see coming through your door. Not everyone has access to the internet and not everyone is able to get to the high street regularly and we don’t want anyone to miss out on what’s happening here in Hatch End. This mailshot will announce the formation of the H.E.T.A. and inform people of the vast variety of outlets here on their doorstep in Hatch End.

Street Beautification  -  After our initial talks with Harrow Council we are pleased to see that the first phase of the improvements to Hatch End Broadway have been implemented, with beautiful hanging baskets and troughs which are awash with colour.
